National Drug Authority (NDA) has commenced investigations on individuals arrested with Government drugs.
NDA conducted an operation in drug stores in Kampala city center (Wilson Street) and arrested 10 suspects.
The suspects have been found to have tampered with expiry dates of Several diagnostic devices of HIV and Malaria.
During the operation,over 40 boxes of government drugs including ARVs HIV testing kits, relabeled malaria and HIV testing kits were recovered.
Abyaz Rwamwiri the NDA spokesperson is urging the public to be vigilant and report such cases as the practice is putting the lives of many people at risk as they end up getting wrong results.
