- Uganda must seek or strengthen new trade routes with friendly states as the situation in the middle east normalises.
Uganda has consolidated its number one position as Africa’s Coffee leading exporter scooping over 2.2 billion shillings. Other leading exports are fetching the country huge amounts of money particularly Gold Exports which has now generated 6 4 billion shillings annually
These together with other export products have risen export earning from 5billion shillings to 2020 to 1.34 billion shillings of exports in the year 2025 .
This was disclosed by the Minister of Trade Industry and Cooperatives Fred Mwebesa at the opening ceremony of the National trade view conference currently taking place at Speke Resort Munyonyo running under the theme Trade Driven Transformation propelling Uganda to a shs. 500 billion economy by 2040.

Despite the ongoing successes the conflict in the middle East may create a Trade imbalance that may negatively affect Uganda’s export routes
As the world witnesses the growing conflicts in the middle east ,African countries are being advised to seek alternative Trade Partners within Africa as a way of managing the trade shocks resulting from the middle east conflicts that is leading to the rise of the exchanging rates and high prices on good and services .
According to The Minister of Trade General Wilson Mbaddi is advising Ugandans to look out for other trade roots as a conflicts Rises in the middle east countries.

According to Minister Mbaddi Ugandans should look out for other trade opportunities with other friendly states as the situation in the middle east Normalises and he also notted that Uganda is facing a trade balance because of importing expensive equipment used for oil exploration which costs alot of money .
