In a bid to appreciate the support rendered to Ugandans in fostering father education in attaining Masters degrees and PHDs the Chevening alumni has resolved to set up a resource center to serve as a regional hub for diverse information on disability.

The Chevening alumni are those Ugandans who have benefited from scholarships from the UK government and through the alumni they return home and make a contribution to their country.
To show solidarity with the initiative, the Head of the Scholarships Unit in the UK government Emma Hennessey is in Uganda to gain a better understanding and appreciation of the scholarship programmes in Uganda.

Her focus is looking at how the alumni activities are having an impact on society.

During a joint visit to the Kampala School for the Physically Handicapped Hellen Kawesa says they need close to one hundred million shillings to complete and appreciate the inclusive education project that the Chevening alumni ran in 2022.
