A total of 21 regional centers across the country have brought together Registration Assistants to be skilled in preparation for National ID renewal.
The trainees that have been batched up into different groups, will each be trained for four days, paving way for other group in succession.
Last year NIRA made a call for the vacancies, attracting hundreds of thousands applicants for the same position.
Ms Rosemary Kisembo the Executive Director of NIRA, whose passion for the success of the exercise is insatiably unquenchable, appealed to trainees to exercise empathy in the field.
Registration Assistants will be deployed at every parish across the country to register citizens for NINs, national ID cards as well as carry out renewal of expired IDs.
