The East African community is in preparation to take part in this years Intra African Trade Fair slated for 4th and 10th September 2025 in Algiers Algeria and is urging business in the Entire east African region to prepare to show case their products as its one of the gate ways to exporting products that are made in the region to the international market.
This was disclosed by Annette Ssemuwemba the deputy secretary general in charge of customs,trade and monetary affairs at the East African community secretariat.
She made the remarks during the East African Community Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) Technical Working Group (TWG)meeting that has been ongoing from 24th to 27th March 2025 in Kampala, Uganda.
Annette Ssemuwemba says in consideration of environment concerns and value addition to all local products , the region has an advantage in participating in international trade.
The meeting aimed at consolidating its work programme and engage in preparations for the Community’s participation at the 2025 Intra African Trade Fair slated for 4th and 10th September 2025 in Algiers Algeria.
The activities are supported by the The International Trade Center, the European Union,,Global gateway and the east African community.
