Hundreds Observe Palm Sunday at St Peter’s Church Of Uganda-Kisaasi.

Christians to observe Holly week kicks off today with calls against hate speech.

As Christians begin observing the Holy week ,the most sacred time of the year for  Catholics, Protestants and orthodox  communities across the world  Ugandans are  being urged to reflect  and  start campaigning against hate speech and bad mouthing others because of political differences.

This was disclosed by Canon Sam Rogers Wairagala, the Chairman Development  at St Peter’s Church Of Uganda -Kisaasi as hundreds of Christians comprised of families, relatives and friends from the Anglican Church  gathered last  evening to observe palm Sunday.

Canon wairagala says despite differences in religious and political beliefs,  non Ugandans have admired the living environment in Uganda and is asking Ugandans to repeat each others beliefs  and embrace peace and co existence.

At the event  the main preacher was Allan Nkulu Nungi from the Uganda Christian University Mukono who called on Christians to repent their sins during this season and work towards reviving a comfortable christian life.

The activities that were filled with joy and sharing over 40 cakes symbolizing the body of Jesus  Christ were presided over by Rev Maxwel Sserugo of  St Peters Church Kisasi.
