Government communicators summoned in Kampala–Told to communicate Government programs and have positive engagement with the public. 

The Permanent Secretaries Ministry of Local Government Mr. Ben Kumumanya together With the Permanent Secretary Ministry of ICT and National Guidance, Dr Aminah Zawedde have asked Local Government communication officers to start outlining Government programs to the public within their communities.

They were Presiding  Over a Meeting of District Communication Officers With the Aim of Streamlining Government Communication from the District Levels.
They emphasized that sharing authentic stories of local attractions, such as national parks, and cultural experiences not only showcases Uganda’s beauty but also creates jobs, supports communities, and strengthens the nation’s image both domestically and internationally.
Former Chairperson of the Uganda Tourism Board Hon. Daudi Mugereko  has also  urged Local Government communication officers  to actively promote the brand of Uganda by positively marketing both Government  programs and the country’s tourism sector.
The retreat continues tommorow at Imperial Royale Hotel.
