Speaking to press in K ampala today, April 28,2026, Minister Magyezi said the restoration of the Trade Order is in response to the resolution by Parliament in which the Minister of Trade Industry and Cooperatives, David Bahati announced on April 24,2026, the suspension of the Trade Order until further notice.
Minister Magyezi said after a thorough review of the parliamentary decision to suspend the implementation of the Trade Order, cabinet resolved to quash the decision arguing that in the past few weeks, the Trade Order had yielded fruits by bringing order in the business sector across cities, municipalities and town councils where it had already been implemented.
