CARE International in Uganda, with partners, has launched a digital system that will help in identifying credible, accountable, and trusted Local and National civil society actors for partnerships and funding opportunities.
The tool dubbed Quality Assurance Mechanism (QuAM), seeks to eliminate manual due diligence by the donors, validate credibility of humanitarian and development sector operations through sharing, accountability, and Trust.
Apollo Gabazira, the country director CARE International in Uganda explains that for years, local organizations across Uganda have faced repeated donor due diligence assessments, fragmented verification systems, and limited visibility despite their critical leadership in humanitarian response and development programming.
According to Gabazira with the introduction of the QuAMPlus digital platform will help eliminate corruption, fake, non-functional actors but promote a health humanitarian sector with credibility
This at the official unveiling of the QuAMPlus Digital Platform marked a major milestone in advancing sustainable localization and provision of a practical, nationally owned system for identifying credible actors at Sheraton Kampala.
