Government of Uganda through the Ministry of Trade Industry and Cooperatives in collaboration with other sister Government agencies have launched Simplified guidelines for development of industrial parks in Uganda.
The multi sectoral activity this afternoon involved a number of Government agencies aligned with industrial growth in Uganda.

These Simplified Guidelines strengthen institutiona coordination, eliminate procedural ambiguities, and ensure alignment with the national policy and regulatory framework governing ndustrial development.
By standardizing approval stages, clarifying institutional roles they enhance predictability for investors, safeguard public resources, and support the development of well-planned and competitive Industrial Parks.

According to the Permanent Secretary Ministry Trade Industry and Cooperatives Lynette B. Bagonza, the guidelines are essential in accelerating industrialization, expanding exports, and positioning Uganda as a leading industrial hub within the East African region and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
